Instructions
1.
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat (about 2 minutes).

2. Add sliced onions and green peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are soft.

3. Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.

4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.

5. To serve, layer the shredded lettuce in bowls and top with the beef and vegetable mixture. Drizzle with hot sauce or mustard if desired.

1 lb lean beef (sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced)

2 cups lettuce (shredded)
3.
1 cup green peppers (sliced)
4.
1 cup onions (sliced)
5.
1/2 cup low-fat cheese (shredded, such as mozzarella or provolone)

1 tablespoon olive oil
7.
Salt and pepper to taste
8.
Optional: hot sauce or mustard for serving
