Instructions

  • 1.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, protein powder, cocoa powder, and chopped nuts.

  • 2.

    In a separate bowl, mix almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • 3.

    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  • 4.

    Fold in mini dark chocolate chips if using.

  • 5.

    Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper and press the mixture evenly into the dish.

  • 6.

    Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set, then cut into bars.
