Instructions
1.
In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, protein powder, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix well.
2.
In a separate bowl, mix almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined. If using, fold in dark chocolate chips.
4.
Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Press the mixture firmly into the dish, spreading it evenly.
5.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set. Once set, cut into bars and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
