After dinner snack! Drinking the rest of my protein shake from this morning and also having a locally made cookies and cream protein bar. Great way to end my day with a sweet healthy treat

Instructions

  • 1.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, protein powder, and salt.

  • 2.

    In a separate bowl, mix almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • 3.

    Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.

  • 4.

    Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts if using.

  • 5.

    Press the mixture into a lined 8x8 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  • 6.

    Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set, then cut into bars.

    1/2 cup protein powder (cookies and cream flavor)

    1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)

  • 7.

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 8.

    1/4 teaspoon salt
