Instructions
1.
Cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside (about 10-12 minutes).

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides (about 8-10 minutes).
5.
Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
6.
If using, stir in fresh spinach until wilted.
7.
Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked whole wheat pasta.
