Instructions

  • 1.

    Toast the dark rye bread slices until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes).

  • 2.

    While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

  • 3.

    Mash the avocado with a fork and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • 4.

    Spread 1 tablespoon of natural crunchy peanut butter on each slice of toasted bread.

  • 5.

    Top each slice with a generous amount of mashed avocado.

  • 6.

    Serve with sliced red apple on the side, and sprinkle with chia seeds or hemp seeds if desired.
