Great breakfast choice Christine! Your breakfast of oatmeal with milk bananas walnuts and zero sugar syrup sounds delicious and nutritious. The oatmeal and walnuts are a great source of fiber which will help keep you feeling full. The bananas add a natural sweetness and additional fiber. And the zero sugar syrup is a smart choice to keep your sugar intake in check.

Instructions

  • 1.

In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, low-fat or dairy-free milk, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat (about 5 minutes).

  • 2.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are cooked and creamy.

  • 3.

Remove from heat and stir in the cinnamon and zero sugar syrup.

  • 4.

Divide the oatmeal into bowls and top with sliced bananas and chopped walnuts.

  • 5.

Serve warm and enjoy your healthy high protein oats!
