Your breakfast choice of oatmeal strawberries and turkey sausages sounds delicious and well-balanced. The turkey sausages are a good source of lean protein and the strawberries and oatmeal are both fiber-rich foods. Bravo Lakisha!

Instructions

  • 1.

    In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats and almond milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat (about 5 minutes).

  • 2.

    Once boiling, reduce heat to low and stir in the protein powder. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are creamy.

  • 3.

    While the oats are cooking, heat the turkey sausages in a separate pan according to package instructions.

  • 4.

    Once the oats are ready, remove from heat and stir in half of the sliced bananas and half of the strawberries.

  • 5.

    Serve the oatmeal in bowls, topped with the remaining strawberries and bananas. Enjoy with the turkey sausages on the side.

    2 cups rolled oats

    4 cups unsweetened almond milk (or high-protein milk alternative)

  • 3.

    1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 4.

    1 cup strawberries, sliced

  • 5.

    2 bananas, sliced

  • 6.

    4 turkey sausages

  • 7.

    Water (for cooking oats)
