“Eggs chicken sausage onions and oatmeal.”
Coach Sam
“Great way to kick things off. Your breakfast with eggs and chicken sausage sounds delicious! These are excellent sources of lean protein that will keep you full until your next meal. The addition of onions adds a nice flavor and the oatmeal is a good source of fiber. Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Lets keep the momentum going and continue working towards your weekly target.”
Instructions
1.
In a medium saucepan, bring water or almond milk to a boil. Add rolled oats and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.
2.
While the oats are cooking, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausages and diced onions. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the sausages are browned and the onions are translucent.
3.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour the eggs into the skillet with the sausage and onions. Scramble until the eggs are fully cooked.
4.
Once the oats are cooked, stir in the protein powder until well combined. If using, add spinach or kale and cook for an additional minute until wilted.
5.
Serve the scrambled eggs and sausage alongside the protein oats for a balanced breakfast.
