I had a smoothie with protein powder. This is something I have in the mornings (not always with protein) sometimes so it felt more natural.

Instructions

  • 1.

    In a blender, combine the almond milk, frozen banana, frozen strawberries, protein powder, chia seeds, and almond butter (if using).

  • 2.

    Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.

  • 3.

    If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add ice cubes and blend again until desired consistency is reached.

  • 4.

    Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary, adding a little honey or maple syrup if desired (keep in mind this will increase sugar content).

  • 5.

    Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately!
