Instructions

  • 1.

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • 2.

    In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, natural peanut butter, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined (about 2-3 minutes).

  • 3.

    In another bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  • 4.

    Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  • 5.

    Fold in the chopped walnuts if using.

  • 6.

    Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.

  • 7.

    Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
